Claim your profileI write about global oil and natural gas markets, from the perspective of US domestic and foreign policy. My background is in international relations, structured finance, energy and communications. I write for the predominantly international audience of London-based publications published by Argus Media, a leading provider of pricing information, business intelligence and market data on the global oil, natural gas and other energy commodities. I previously covered North American natural gas and LNG markets and the US electricity and coal industries for Argus. My private sector career includes stints at a structured finance unit at Standard & Poor’s, modeling asset-backed securities, and as a contract editor at Hart Energy Publishing, covering gasification projects. I previously worked at the Embassy of Armenia in the United States and the Embassy of the United States in Armenia, working on US-Armenian relations, energy development in South Caucasus and the US role in the region. I have received three State Department Meritorious Honor Awards during my tenure at the American Embassy in Armenia. I hold an M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies and a B.A. in Economics from The George Washington University. Specialties: Passed CFA Level I Examination.
