Claim your profileGabriella Rusk anchors The Morning Show, Monday - Friday. She first joined the WMTV 15 News team in September 2018 as The Weekend Morning Show anchor and WMTV News reporter before she was promoted to weekdays in January 2022. She started her broadcast career in Davenport, Iowa in July 2016 working for WMTV’s sister-station, KWQC. While at TV-6, Gabriella turned stories for both the news and sports departments.From an early age, Gabriella dreamed of becoming a news anchor. She graduated from Syracuse University with a Broadcast & Digital Journalism degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. While at 'Cuse, Gabriella worked tirelessly at the nation's oldest student-run television station, CitrusTV. Because of her own mentors in the industry, she is passionate about inspiring the next generation of journalists. She serves on the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Young Professionals Committee and loves to visit local schools to speak to students about a career in television.When she isn’t working, you can likely find Gabriella with her nose in a book or browsing a local bookstore or library for her next read. She also volunteers her time with the Madison Public Library Foundation as a Wisconsin Book Festival ambassador. Gabriella and her husband Mark also enjoy catching Broadway shows at the Overture Center for the Arts, a special place where they got married in June 2023.
