Claim your profileI'm a storyteller at heart, weaving data with compelling narratives that help explain, connect, and build curiosity among audiences. So far, I've published stories across radio, print, and digital landscape and especially like the challenge of demystifying complex topics. In 2021, my team at The Seattle Times received a Best of the West award for explanatory writing. In 2020, I worked on a national collaboration reporting on first-time, Latino voters that led to an award from the Public Media Journalism Association. I've been a fellow with ProPublica's Data Institute, NPR, and Reveal and the Center for Investigative Reporting. In my extra time, I've worked with Townhall Seattle and the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust to host community panels and talks. And to pay it forward, I also mentor student journalists and guest lecture at local high schools and universities.
