I have been a writer, content strategist and journalist for over a decade. I have experience writing for major arts and culture publications and covering different business sectors. I am currently the branded content & events writer for Secret NYC. My previous business journalism experience includes commodities coverage at Argus Media covering Freight and Fastmarkets reporting on steel products connected to auto, construction, energy (oil and gas) along with intersections of trade, labor and politics. Before business journalism, my full-time career was as an arts and culture journalist, content strategist and photojournalist with a history of working with larger publications such as Billboard, Ebony Magazine, Grammy.com, Loudwire, The Points Guy, Ultimate Classic Rock and various others. I currently have a monthly column called Heavy Culture on Consequence of Sound which highlights people of various backgrounds connected to heavier genres of music. I have also covered retail and a variety of other European companies as a general business reporter for Northern Financial Review + Scottish Financial Review. I am a New Yorker through and through. I have a Master's degree focused in Business and Economic Journalism along with Arts and Culture Journalism from the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism. I also have a dual Bachelor's degree in Journalism and English from Brooklyn College.
