Claim your profileEileen Meslar is currently a staff photojournalist at the Chicago Tribune. Until Meslar moved to back home to Chicago in March of 2023, she was a full-time photojournalist at the Omaha World-Herald from 2021-2023. Prior to Omaha, Meslar also freelanced in the Chicago area for the Associated Press, Reuters, and USA Today. From 2017-2020, she was a staff photographer at the Telegraph Herald newspaper in Dubuque, Iowa. Meslar hails from a southwest suburb of Chicago and graduated with a BFA Summa Cum Laude in Photography and Intermedia and a minor in Journalism from Western Michigan University in 2011. She completed a photography internship at the Chicago Reader in August of 2013. She has freelanced for several publications, including the Associated Press, USA Today, Reuters, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Reader, and Kalamazoo Gazette. Meslar's photos have been published in Time Magazine, New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, Politico, among others.
