Claim your profileNational Murrow Award recipient and seven-time Emmy-nominated reporter/anchor, Domonique Benn has helped to lead the KSLA News 12 anchor team for eight years. She anchors KSLA News 12 at 5, 6, and 10 PM, Monday through Friday. Domonique has a background in investigative reporting. Many of her investigative reports have been picked up by national media outlets. Her investigative report about a father on death row helped shed light on his case and reveal questionable forensic pathology reports. In addition to her national Edward R. Murrow award, Domonique is also the recipient of two regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.In April 2009, the Virginia Associated Press named Domonique "Best Anchor of the Year". In January 2008, Domonique's hard work earned her national recognition when she was featured in Ebony magazine as one of the 30 talented young adults on the rise. Domonique has worked in newsrooms in Mississippi, Georgia, and Virginia. The University of Florida graduate has a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications-News and a minor in English with a concentration in African American Literature. During her career, Domonique has interviewed numerous national leaders. From politics to entertainment, she has covered it all. Domonique is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the National Association of Black Journalists. She is also a past member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Mid-American Emmy Board of Governors. She is also very active with the March of Dimes.
