A Forbes Trailblazer, Deborah is an award-winning author of 20 books. A Harvard-educated Futurist, she has 35 years experience in speaking & consulting on cultural diversity. Clients include healthcare organizations, universities, professional associations, and international industries. Born in Brooklyn with an Eastern European immigrant legacy, she was brought up in Bermuda. she's lived, worked, and studied across the US, acquiring advanced degrees in cultural anthropology, religion, urban planning. She's a pioneer/visionary by nature and founded: DuPage Interfaith Resource Network, Woman's Council on Diversity, and the American Diversity Report. A nonprofit management expert, she was an executive with American Jewish Committee and Jewish Federations including serving as Tulsa Federation’s community/media liaison after the OK City bombing. She served on the planning team for both the Oklahoma and Chattanooga Councils Against Hate. Deborah is an educator on Religious Diversity and the Holocaust. Her memoirs include her father's WW II letters (US military intelligence officer assigned to interrogate Nazi prisoners of war). Her documentary with his letters is a Winner in 16 international film festivals. Deborah invented the Matrix Model Management System, cognitive technology for cross-cultural communication, emotional intelligence and decision making using cultural anthropology & urban planning. Her articles on cultural and religious diversity are published in The Huffington Post, Harvard Divinity School Bulletin, The Christian Century, The Bermuda Magazine, Journal of Public Management & Social Policy. Her webinars on "Navigating Religious Diversity in Divisive Times" are popular with universities and corporations. Her interactive, storytelling-based methodology is designed to educate and engage diverse groups, promote inclusion, and improve emotional intelligence in decision making.
