During a 25-year career, I have worked in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart and overseas, with particuar expertise in crime, court and political reporting. I was the founding editor of AAP's Internet Desk in the late 1990s, and have worked at major events from the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, Sydney in 2000, Beijing in 2008 and Rio De Janeiro in 2006, in addition to leadership roles in the news services covering events from multiple Commonwealth Games in Australia and overseas, Youth Olympics, the Asian Games, World University Games and world championship events in China. I have been a key member of six deep-field Antarctic expeditions between 1997 and 2021, providing photographic and text coverage of the long-term effort to restore Mawson's Huts at Cape Denison - renowned as the home of the blizzard. My reportage and photographs have been featured in books and exhibitions.
