Claim your profileI write across the news file from breaking stories through to analysis and comment on economics and political risk covering Europe, the US and Asia. At present I write economic commentaries for the Irish Independent, Ireland's best-selling newspaper. Prior to this I covered the Fed under Janet Yellen and Donald Trump's trade wars with Reuters in Washington. This followed an assignment in Seoul as Reuters bureau chief that saw the death of Kim Jong Il and the rise of Kim Jong Un, whose nuclear and missile tests set Asia and the world on edge. Prior to this I was bureau chief in Malaysia and in also in Hungary, where I saw at first hand Viktor Orban's 'illiberal democracy' emerge after a period of chaotic Socialist government and rising debts. I have substantial management experience across different cultures, a strong record on hiring and mentoring staff and of promoting diversity in newsrooms across the globe. Looking to move to the U.K. or other location.
