Claim your profileDanielle Perry has been working in radio and the music industry for 20 years now - past Kerrang! then the XFM Evening Show, but now resides as host of the evening show & specialist at Absolute Radio. It's a role that has enabled Danielle to pull in some artists and movements to commercial airwaves that may not have been possible a few years back. From supporting records like new The Mars Volta alongside Fleet Foxes and Michael Kiwanuka and Suede - Danielle always strives to flex where she can to ensure a variety of music is represented on her programme alongside the core brand of music. This has led to Danielle being on the Mercury Music Prize panel for the past 5 years - including this years upcoming event too. Although listening through to all entries takes time, it's imperative to always try and hunt out the underdog. CV wise, Danielle lists Sony Awards for Best Music Show, and 5 consecutive years being nominated for Best Radio Show at the Music Week Awards, plus being part of recent ARIA award winning teams too for Bauer. Just before Covid, Danielle launched her podcast 'Elevenses with Danielle Perry' which pulled huge names to sit and take coffee with her - from Jeff Goldblum, to Steven Coogan, Ralph Fiennes, Nadiya Hussain and Sophie Dahl - Danielle spread her net wider in terms of interviews from the recording studio and tour bus to the world of chefs, writers and the stage. Danielle lives on the south coast in Hove with her husband and two children; remains an artist manager, voice artist and continues to sort album campaigns and tour schedules.
