My role includes managing the writing and development of books for 3-19 year olds, including working with internal and external teams to ensure manuscripts are delivered on time and to a high standard, conducting proof checks and editing, ensuring our books are inclusive and accessible for their intended markets, and working on multiple complex projects at various stages.Prior to my current role, I was a Commissioning Editor for Theatre, Dance and Performance Studies at Routledge. In 2017 I completed my Master's degree in The Contemporary for the University of Kent, specialising in posthumanism in contemporary speculative fiction. I was also a Content Editor in the 2018-19 Coeliac UK GUTs committee.I am passionate about reading - particularly fantasy and science fiction, walking, and trying new things out. In 2022 I trained to be a volunteer hospital radio presenter and took a lot of joy in presenting a morning radio show on a local Hospital Radio station every Monday morning.
