I’m a Contributing Writer at Men’s Journal covering ski and mountain gear, with a background in technology, smart home innovation, and product testing. I’ve spent more than two decades working in product storytelling, with a focus on alpine skiing, ski equipment, ski boots and binding setup, winter apparel, and cold-weather performance gear. I’m based in the Catskill region of New York State, where I take a hands-on approach to reviews by testing gear on local mountains throughout the Northeast in variable snow, cold, and terrain. My current work focuses on lift-served skiing, backcountry and resort equipment, mountain safety gear, winter travel gear, and durability testing in extreme winter conditions.
