Chris is an award-winning journalist, digital content strategist, team builder and newsroom leader. A veteran of multiple startups, he specializes in content marketing and scaling content operations to maximize performance, engagement and revenue. As the managing editor and head of platform of Knowhere News, a news and technology startup, he is responsible for overseeing all of the organization’s content and for ensuring Knowhere's AI-powered tools are optimized to support local journalists. Knowhere is focused on using technology and critical thinking to produce unbiased, fact-based journalism at the local and national level. The company is founded on the premise that coverage of that kind is essential for communities — and democracy — to thrive. Chris was previously an editor at The Information, a groundbreaking publication launched by former Wall Street Journal reporter and entrepreneur Jessica Lessin that is rewriting the rules of successful online publishing and setting the industry standard for high-quality, exclusive-driven journalism. Prior to The Information, Chris helped build the content team at Nerdwallet where he led groups that created revenue-generating content in verticals including home buying and mortgages, small business, and car loans. Chris is a dual citizen whose extensive experience living and working in Europe, Asia and Africa gives him a global perspective.
