Chris Crouse is a former risk management professional turned sports professional with experience that includes business analysis, strategic content, project management, and audience development at CNBC, DC United and other stops in addition to a bevy of sports strategic content and journalism assignments. - - - - - Chris has 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, assisting DC United's ownership liaison team with special projects and the launch of Loudoun United FC (2019 USL expansion franchise), including business analysis and other functions ahead of and during the franchises' inaugural season. Other projects include: assisting with 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 functions during the launch of CNBC Events' televised business conference series; serving as a Sports Media, Subject Matter Expert for the DC Lottery's 2020 sports product launch; and co-managing the launch of new verticals at several digital sports publications, such as SLAM Magazine's Newswire and Heavy.com's Tampa Bay Buccaneers team page. His 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 experience includes covering the 2021 Tokyo Olympics (credentialed by USA Basketball), serving as a Philadelphia 76ers beat writer during the 2020-21 NBA season and several years of covering the Washington Wizards in addition to working countless NFL/NBA news desk shifts providing sports business coverage for multiple outlets. In 2020, Chris founded FortyEightMinutes where he manages a portfolio of media partnerships and fosters audience development initiatives, including SEO strategy, social media strategy, paid media, and syndication agreements. He also produces content during campaigns and manages a team of content creators. Prior to moving into sports in a full-time basis, Chris worked in the risk management industry, including time in Temple University’s Risk Management Department where he contributed to risk mitigation projects of the University’s sports programs.
