Specialises in infrastructure and energy projects, PPPs (Public Private Partnerships), project finance, cross-border transactions (incl. M&A) and legislative/ regulatory reform. Has worked on transactions around the world valued at over $75bn. Has led a Legal Group for the United Nations (ECE) Working Party on PPPs and the EBRD for the past 4 years, drawing up a Model PPP Law, and is a former Vice-Chair of the Bureau of the Working Party on PPPs. Former partner and team leader for many years at 3 leading international law firms and former director at a pre-eminent investment bank. Now also works in the venture capital field as investor/adviser/board director/chairman with a wide range of start-ups/ early-stage businesses, including SkyLifter, PF Nexus, Qodeo, Regenall, Derby Street Films and Verditek. He is Chairman of SkyLifter Ltd., which is developing a new, innovative form of LTA airship, and a Board Director of Abacus Holdings Ltd., one of the fastest-growing IT and cyber-security firms in southern Europe.
