She also founded and oversaw the copy editing department, seeing book manuscripts through to publication and publishing hundreds of articles.Christine was born in Saigon, Vietnam one year before it fell to the communists. Her French citizenship — passed down through her mother from her grandfather, a colonel stationed in French Indochina — made it possible for her family to leave for France. Her family eventually came to America. Christine has degrees from Oxford University and Notre Dame Law School.
