This includes producing quick-turn stories remotely and in the field; sourcing and verifying videos from social media; editing videos and operating livestreams for The New York Times website. Originally from Northeast Florida, I previously worked as a photojournalist and writer for local newspapers in the region, The Florida Times-Union and The St. Augustine Record. This included covering the impact and long aftermaths of two major hurricanes, Hurricane Matthew and Hurricane Irma. I earned a master’s in journalism with a specialization in documentary filmmaking from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. I also hold a bachelor’s in communication from Jacksonville University, where I specialized in journalism.
