Broadcast journalist with over twenty-five years working in television news. Currently anchors and reports the news at WBBM-TV in Chicago. Previously worked at WKYC-TV in Cleveland, WZZM-TV in Grand Rapids and WPBN-TV in Traverse City, Michigan. He attended John Carroll University and worked as an intern at WLS-TV, WEWS-TV, WGN-AM, WLUP-FM and WBBM-AM.Awards won: Michigan EMMY for deadline news writing. Reporter of the Year award from the Michigan Press Photographers Association. Winner of awards for feature reporting from the Associated Press and Michigan Association of Broadcasters. Nominated for Ohio EMMY for news writing. Multiple winner of "Best of Gannett" awards from Gannett Corp.Chris is a Chicago native thrilled to back living in his hometown with his wife and two kids.Chris has spent hundreds of hours anchoring breaking news and reporting on the ground some of the most significant stories of the 21st century. His reporting led to the end of shackling children in state foster care and an overhaul of protecting residents private information during COVID-19. From presidential interviews to covering the Olympics to civil unrest in Chicago -- Chris' work has been honored with five EMMY Awards. His work has been seen on The CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News, CNN, MSNBC and The Weather Channel.
