Claim your profileIf Charles Divins looks familiar to you, then you probably have seen him in one of his many roles on national television. Divins joined Spectrum Networks as an co-anchor of Your Morning on Spectrum News 1 in August 2020. This Emmy Award-winning Texas native was a morning anchor at WDSU 6 (NBC) in New Orleans, where he covered the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino collapse and Hurricane Barry, and was previously the co-host of the nationally syndicated morning show The Daily Buzz and correspondent for NBC’s LXTV 1st Look. His career has taken him across the country from New York to California and back home to Texas. Divins started his career in front of the camera over two decades ago, spending over six years on the NBC daytime drama Passions. Soon after, he made the move to primetime. Spending a season on the WB sitcom Half and Half, along with numerous guest-starring roles on popular TV shows such as CSI, Melrose Place, and My Boys. His passion for storytelling later led him to journalism and a career of covering impactful stories. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Charles is proud to call Texas his home and says it is in his blood. When not at the anchor desk, you can catch him with the family, hitting the gym, or exploring everything this great state has to offer.
