I am a regional reporter at The Baltimore Banner, an independent, non-partisan news organization in Baltimore, Maryland. I came to the Mid-Atlantic by way of Texas and previously worked at Houston Landing as a housing affordability and regional reporter where I led major investigations and won several statewide awards. Before Houston, I worked for The Columbus Dispatch through the national service program Report for America. In Ohio I reported on rural issues across the state with a special focus on Appalachia and earned the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors’ Rising Star award — given to journalists with less than five years of professional experience.
