As the Executive Director at BmoreArt since 2010, the organization has grown from a small, independent online publication to Baltimore's leading resource for art and culture. Now a staff of six, BmoreArt's editorial and community building capabilities including digital publication, a biannual print journal, beautiful artist books, community events, lectures, media partnerships, and social media, used to further the cultural and economic interests of artists, arts organizations, cultural institutions, and diverse audiences for arts and culture in the region. The BmoreArt website serves as a news source and academic archive for thousands of unique visitors each day, and its online calendar includes a multitude of events every day, a free community service. For BmoreArt's growing community of subscribing members, we offer our own monthly events, receptions and programs in our gallery space at 2519 N. Charles, as well as co-hosted public and private events at area museums and colleges. Our collecting initiative, Connect+Collect, offers bespoke consulting services including studio tours for individuals, groups, and collecting institutions, as well as free educational resources and lectures for artists looking to professionalize their practice.BmoreArt's vision is for Baltimore-based artists, creative business owners, arts organizations, and cultural institutions to achieve new levels of success and recognition, both locally and globally. Our organization's role is to increase awareness, build relationships, and stimulate discussion in order to catalyze support for artists throughout the region. We work collaboratively with artists, organizations, small businesses, institutions, and publications to champion a vibrant cultural ecosystem in Baltimore.
