I am an experienced journalist who has the privilege to coach other journalists. Newsroom citizenship is important to me. I want to win. I also want to innovate and inspire. In our newsroom, we constantly weigh news value and harm, reminding one another to share our decision-making process with our viewers so our newsgathering is transparent and fair. I currently manage a newsroom with 50 journalists in the 83rd largest television market in the country. Together, we produce content for all digital operations (WRCB apps and WRCBtv.com) and more than 38 hours of local news each week. I am also responsible for department budgeting, which includes organization and execution of large station projects. My out-of-industry experience has given me experience in all aspects of television news, from sales to marketing. I grow in a fast-paced, organized, and creative atmosphere, where I can collaborate with others and put new ideas to work.
