I entered the media at seventeen and know very little else. Radio - Television - Print - Digital. The latter being my primary focus for the past 22 years as the owner, designer, editor and publisher of Q Magazine. In very recent times, I had to make a significant choice as to my future: do I close down the publication that has been my passion for over two decades OR 'give it a crack'? The path I chose is obvious and kick started a rather expensive and time-consuming web design, administration and development journey. With some minor guidance from WordPress and the emptying out of my already limited funds, I now manage several websites - all members of the Q Magazine Media Group. The portfolio consists of Q Magazine domains .media, .shop, .com.au, .au, .online, .blog, .store, .live, .cloud plus several 'hayhoe' sites and blogs. Writing however is the thing that really drives me. The new format of Q Magazine involves daily blog articles (something WordPress is perfect for) to an ever-growing subscriber base (I decided to keep subscriptions FREE) and quite a sizeable (30 000 +) social media database of friends and followers. The subject matter is diverse, covering Q Magazine issues and everything from book releases, events of interest, pure opinion pieces and a variety of others. Hopefully it will all start coming to fruition financially or my decision to do it will be futile.
