I write and produce documentaries, for TV and radio; my print work includes newspapers, magazines, online, and books (two, as ghostwriter).I'm a four-time Emmy Award winner, the recipient of the Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Writing, a five-time winner of first place honors from the Society of Professional Journalists, and the first place winner of the “Best Television Reporting on the Environment" award from the Society of Environmental Journalists. As a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellow, I received my Master of Arts in Science Journalism from Columbia University in New York. I won the 2014 Columbia University Thesis Prize (Best M.A. Science Thesis) for "Little Green Men—The Scientific Search for Extraterrestrials," now available as a Kindle Single on Amazon.com. I'm currently a contributor @ Forbes. I write about space.
