As sole charge of the Dunedin newsroom, I cover a range of beats including crime, court, local government, and business throughout Otago and Southland. Within this role, I occasionally appear on radio shows Newstalk ZB, The Country, and The Hits.Prior to writing for the Herald, I was a journalist for the Otago Daily Times and Southland Express, based in Invercargill. My primary beats were local government and general news. During this time, in 2022 I was named runner-up Best Junior News Journalist at the NZ Community Newspaper Awards.
