Claim your profileI am reporter covering daily news and politics in California. I am currently spending a year in Germany as a Alexander von Humboldt German Chancellor fellow reporting a multimedia series about the legacy of German reparations for the Holocaust. Previously, I worked as criminal defense investigator and trained as an oral historian. I have experience in trauma-informed interviewing, audio recording, story crafting and archival research supporting academic and journalistic publications. I graduated from Barnard College with a B.A. in urban studies with a concentration in political science in 2015. My studies focused on how cities become harbors for political memory and how subsequently, interaction with public space shapes and responds to changing evaluations of past figures and events.
