With more than 20 years of experience in science journalism, I have a passion for informing and engaging the public with accurate, timely, and compelling stories.Before coming to The Boston Globe I was a science reporter at The Dallas Morning News and a senior editor at Scientific American, where I wrote, assigned and edited articles covering all areas of science. In 2021, I was selected as an MIT Knight Science Journalism project fellow to pursue in-depth research on the link between energy production and earthquakes for a forthcoming book. I am also the author of "The Forgotten Cure: The Fall and Rise of Phage Therapy" (Copernicus Books, 2011), which explores the history and potential of a novel treatment for superbugs.
