Claim your profileI'm an award winning journalist, reporter and presenter who has covered a wide range of issues but specialises in social affairs and women's health.Currently based with the BBC's Investigations team, prior to that I spent 18 months working as a correspondent for BBC Newsnight, where my work included presenting and producing a documentary which explored the impact of abortion bans on women in the US.During the first two years of the coronavirus pandemic, I worked as a health correspondent for the BBC's Health team. This included regularly covering the Prime Minister's Downing Street briefings on BBC One, Radio 4 and Radio 5Live. I have worked as a reporter for the Bafta award winning Victoria Derbyshire programme and for Newsbeat on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, where I also presented and produced the podcast, The Story of Izzy Dix, which was named ARIA Podcast of the Year.My career in journalism began at Real Radio in the north east of England - where I grew up. In my third week in the job I reported on the week long hunt for Tyneside gunman Raoul Moat. Our news team's coverage won two Sony awards.
