Claim your profileIn July of 2024, I decided to head down a new path. After a 10-year career as a sports anchor/reporter, I joined WVU's Reed School of Media and Communications as a Sports and Adventure Media Instructor, a career pivot that I never expected! I previously worked as a sports anchor/co-host for Gold and Blue Nation, exclusively covering WVU sports from 2016-2014. I started in the broadcast industry as the sports director at WBOY-TV, an ABC and NBC affiliate in Clarksburg, WV. I joined WBOY in August of 2013 as an intern and worked my way up to the 12 SportsZone at 6 and 11 pm.I graduated from the P.I. Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University, rebranded as the Reed College of Media, in December of 2013 with a minor in Sports Communication. I was the main anchor and non-profit reporter for the award-winning WVU News.In addition to sports reporting, I taught Broadcast Journalism at Doddridge County High School for the 2015-16 school year. I taught a two-part class, Fundamentals of Broadcasting and Video Editing, educating students on the basic rules and how-to's of reporting and how to write, edit and produce broadcast-ready scripts and packages.
