Claim your profileI am exploring ways to make newsroom culture more dynamic, innovative, creative, and diverse as a Nieman fellow at Harvard University. Previously, I helped manage The Boston Globe’s largest newsroom department, planning what local news to cover and how best to cover it, regardless of medium. I’ve been an editor for more than 8 years, and am experienced in digital media, breaking news, short narrative, accountability journalism, beat reporting, and multimedia storytelling. Career highlights include working as an editor on the series "The Desperate and the Dead," a finalist for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize in local reporting. I was also a part of the team that won the 2014 Pulitzer for breaking news, and later led coverage of the trial of the Boston Marathon bomber. I have also been part of The Boston Globe’s reinvention team, helping rethink how a modern, digital-first newsroom should operate.
