Claim your profileAfter 35 years in broadcast journalism—telling stories that mattered and holding the powerful accountable—I made the most personal pivot of my life. Following the heartbreaking loss of my oldest daughter to fentanyl poisoning, I founded Emily's Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to removing the stigma of substance use disorder, increasing access to treatment, and delivering prevention education to students across the country. I'm also the host of Grieving Out Loud, a nationally recognized podcast where I speak with others who have experienced profound loss and explore the intersection of grief, addiction, and healing. Throughout my TV news career, I led award-winning investigative reporting that earned multiple regional Emmy awards and brought meaningful change to communities. Today, I bring that same journalistic integrity and compassion to my advocacy—sharing Emily’s story, raising awareness, and working toward a future where no family has to suffer the pain of losing a loved one to overdose. I believe in the power of truth, connection, and action. And I’m committed to using my voice to save lives.
