I was hired as a reporter with Rubber and Plastics News, Crain Communications, in November 2019. I previously served as a reporter and editor at Record Publishing Co. in January 2001, where I worked for 19 years. I've won numerous journalism awards from the Ohio Newspaper Association and the Cleveland Press Club.Newspaper editor with 19 years experience across multiple Northeast Ohio communities. Served as editor of the Hudson Hub-Times, Twinsburg Bulletin, Record-Courier, Tallmadge Express, Stow Sentry and Nordonia Hills News-Leader, with a circulation of 130,000 for all papers combined. Extensive writing/editing/pagination/web administration/social media experience in news, feature, column, courtroom, editorial and opinion pieces. Advised and edited letters, headlines, all reporters’ stories and photos and produced video and photo content. Proven interpersonal communication and teaching skills (staff of 8 at largest point), both in a management/office setting, as well as a public ambassador of the company. Distinguished from peers for having a highly detailed, accurate and clean publication, as well as a keen eye for capturing salient points in articles. Accuracy, energy, speed, efficiency and time management allowed for broader team-oriented approach in assisting other papers.On my off time I enjoy running, golf and aviation, freelancing for aviation publications and memoir writing.
