Claim your profileI have a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northwestern and master’s in broadcast journalism from NYU. I have worked for ABC and CBS affiliates in Florida and Pennsylvania. For the past 24 years I have been a writer for a daily newspaper in Southwest, Florida. I also write for Southwest Florida Parent & Child magazine and Grandeur Magazine. I’ve won the Newsmaker Award for distinguished news coverage of public education in Florida, the Media Award for Hurricane Coverage for my work at The News-Press, and the Gold and Bronze awards from Parenting Publications of America for my stories in the parenting magazine. I am also the author of two children’s picture books.
