I have worked as science correspondent on ITV News, covering science, environment and health for the daily news bulletins, and I also spent a decade as a writer and editor at the Guardian. In 2018, I spent a year as a Wellcome Trust fellow, developing new, more engaging formats for science journalism. I’m also a public speaker on media innovation and science. I also present science programmes for BBC TV and radio and am the author of three books; "The Water Book" (Headline, 2015); "The Doomsday Handbook (Quercus, 2013); "How to Live Forever (Quercus, 2013).
