I advise on central and local government policy, including across infrastructure, housing and financial services.I was Senior Ministerial Advisor to New Zealand's Minister of Finance, Grant Robertson (2020-2023). Previously the Minister's Senior Press Secretary (2017-2020).From 2008 through 2017 I was a financial and political journalist in London and New Zealand. This included four years in London as a journalist and assistant editor at global financial newswire, Mergermarket (at the time part of the FT Group), reporting on M&A, capital markets and shareholder activism. I spent six years covering New Zealand politics and economics for online news publication Interest.co.nz. I regularly appeared on CNBC, Sky News and BBC World discussing high-profile European takeovers while in London. In New Zealand I have appeared as an interviewer and commentator on the country's main television networks.
