Driven by an interest in globalisation and geopolitics, I have focused my attention on tracking and reporting on developments in greenfield foreign direct investment and investment destinations across the globe. I have interviewed high profile individuals across the public and private sector, and subsequently written reports and feature articles on topics such as manufacturing, supply chains, technology and sustainability. I produced fDi's Tech Startup FDI Attraction Index, global ranking of venture capital financed FDI and research into the world's most innovative companies. While studying Economics (BSc) International at the University of Leeds, I took a particular interest in behavioural economics, management decision making and macroeconomics. I spent one year studying at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR) and can speak conversational German. My undergraduate dissertation explored the influence that short term rentals through Airbnb have on London house prices.
