Some people have referred to me as "The Lede Doctor," but you can call me Alaina. As an editor and reporter, I love learning new industries and beats from the inside out and building relationships with people who are passionate about the work they do. I draw motivation from providing a service that helps people, ignites change or tells a meaningful story. I lead with empathy both as an editor and in my relationships with colleagues.Today, I cover California courts, litigation, technology and the business of law. In prior roles, I've reported on legislation, labor and the foodservice and retail industries.
