Claim your profileIf you were to ask me what I want to do, my answer would consistently be that I have a strong desire to connect great content to even greater audiences. Through years of experience in the newspaper, magazine, and digital/website publishing fields, I have discovered a passion for connecting content to a wide range of audiences. Being able to provide information services to individuals hungry to learn is a true blessing and an absolute dream. After several years of writing and editing content for several publications, while serving as Editor-in-Chief, I spearheaded the initiative to create a multimedia branch of my college newspaper, The SWORD, which reached more than a quarter of the student population with its first video, and has been growing ever since. This accomplishment launched my desire to showcase content through more than just printed word, which lead to an examination of farrier labor statistics and income/expenditure analysis in my most recent role as Assistant Editor of American Farriers Journal. As a freelance writer, I have worked to hone these skills to best provide audiences with the content they seek. By suggesting new marketing techniques, I was able to help grow the lead generation and subscription base of the American Farriers Journal's annual Career Guide by 8%, getting our content seen by more college-age young professionals. I am seeking opportunities in my career to enhance my communication and content creation/management abilities through a variety of fields. My three Bachelor's of Arts degrees (history, communication, and English-Writing), attained in four years, has uniquely positioned me to present content on a variety of topics, including politics, education, the relevance of history, and culture to multiple audiences. One of my proudest achievements was the shaping of my first published article in an academic, peer reviewed journal, The Journal of the American Revolution. This project, "Weaponizing Impeachment: Justice Samuel Chase and President Thomas Jefferson's Battle Over the Process," started off as a senior-level college history paper but I, with the assistance of several editors, developed the paper into an important and original piece of scholarship. This project illustrates my commitment to long-term projects and my passion for providing new content which reflects historical topics and issues relevant today. I am a firm believer that in order to know where we are headed we must first understand where we came from.
